I’ve thought about it a lot, and I realized that the main reason why I love writing music so much is because I get to make what I want. I have a strong feeling that if I promoted myself as a composer professionally, I’d get burned out of music from the jobs I’m given. I can’t take that sort of pressure musically, while with my art I can truck through nearly anything and still have the drive to make more art.
